I want to welcome you to my social network for By His Own Blood, a book that is very near and dear to my heart. I invite you to read this true story about the tragic death of my father and the cover-up of the cause of his death. I wrap the story about "Doc" with the story of growing up in rural West Texas during the 1940s, 50s and 60s. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did writing it, and I also invite you to take a few minutes to share you thoughts, questions and comments on this page for others to read. Thank you, and please enjoy my book about the best man I have ever known. John Montandon
John, I was listening to the audio recordings of your dad on the website. I would give almost anything to hear my dad again. I think that's why this all resonates so much with me. People who lose a close father with a powerful character can relate so well with this book - above and beyond the story line. I keep dad's baseball cap by my desk and his bolo tie on my rear view mirror. It's a 'member of the club' thing. But I think you have to be a certain kind of person to get it. Or, at least, have certain kind of parents and upbringing. To me, that is why I liked the book so much. The issue that happened just pissed me off. The story throughout the book - history and upbringing - really resonated with me. This could be a movie!
Hi Johnnie,
Hope you don't mind my reverting to your high school name. You'll always be Johnnie to me. Just signed up for your book in Kindle version whenever it is ready. Am anxious to read it!

Johnny....I didn't realize you lost your dad by such an unnecesary way. I think it's great that you have shared the story with others. Toni said to pass on her regards, and please give Karen a hug for me.
