I certainly appreciate the nice Amazon review that Greg Clonts submitted.  Thanks, very much, Greg.  Here are his comments.

5.0 out of 5 stars By His Own Blood,
This review is from: By His Own Blood (Paperback)
It's hard to imagine a more gut-wrenching experience for a family to endure than that of the Doc Montandon family. His son, John, has brilliantly blended together the tragedy of his father's suffering with a nostalgic look at life in rural Texas in the mid-to-late 1900's. It is a story of hard work, sacrifice, broken dreams, realized dreams, ignorance, discrimination, fear, and finally suffering and love.
I remember the rumors and innuendo surrounding Doc's infection with the AIDS virus, but only when this book was written did I understand the full magnitude of the circumstances. Congratulations to John for telling this story.

For those of you who have read the book, please consider writing a brief review (a good one, I hope) on Amazon.  It will be read by a lot of people.  Here is the link where you can submit your review. Just click on "Create your own review." You can also read what others have to say about the book. Thanks, very much. John

Johnny....I didn't realize you lost your dad by such an unnecesary way.  I think it's great that you have shared the story with others.  Toni said to pass on her regards, and please give Karen a hug for me.
