The test of a good book to me is this:  you get hooked early and then don't want to put it down until you've finished.  John, your book......By His Own Blood...more than passed that test.

When your book arrived I was about a third of the way through my friend Tom Brokaw'sThe Greatest Generationon my Nook Color.   The next evening I started leafing through you book and realized I just had to read it NOW.  John, I've read the book and laughed and even cried in a couple of place that I had to read to my wife.

You need to use your Hollywood and San Francisco contacts to see if you can't getBy His Own Blood made into a movie.  If I wasn't pushing 90 I might volunteer to produce it myself, shooting most of it on location in Texas.  What a story!  Thanks for sharing the "labor of love."
